The topic about hell makes a lot of people uncomfortable. We hear stories of hell being a place of fire, demons, and endless torment. Hell is the total absence of the favor of God.
In the Bible you will find different words which are associated with Hell. This articles presents some bible verses on hell.

Job 11:8 It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know? (KJV)

Psalm 139:8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. (KJV)

Isaiah 5: 14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. (KJV)

Isaiah 66:24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh. (KJV)

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (KJV)

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (KJV)
Hell is eternal fire

Matt. 25:41, “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels.

Cast to outer darkness with weeping and gnashing of teeth
Matt. 8:12, “but the sons of the kingdom shall be cast out into the outer darkness; in that place there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Those cast into the fire suffer consciously
Matt. 13: 42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire; in that place there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

The above are some of the verses in the Bible that use the literal meaning of hell. There is so much going on about this that in some churches they do not believe that a loving God will send people to hell. The question that stands is, is God just by doing it or not?
