You Are Declared Righteous Before God

Romans 8:1

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

You are now a new creation in Christ, and your past including the sins you have done no longer defines your life now because your new life is hidden with Christ. Sometimes, the enemy can remind you of your past. He can use people to condemn you for your past sins. But you don’t have to let those things affect you now because those things are old junks. God no longer remembers them because it has been washed by the blood of Jesus. The moment you received Jesus Christ in your life, all things have become new. You have been born again into a new life in Christ Jesus.

So whenever condemnation comes to your thoughts or people remember your past self, remember Romans 8:1 says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” You are now a new creation in Christ and you are walking in the Spirit. That is the truth. You don’t have to entertain the lies of the enemy any longer. God has already set you free from you. It is no longer you who live, but Christ who lives in you!

So as you pray to God, thank the Heavenly Father who has called you out of the kingdom of darkness and made you a new creation through His Son, Jesus Christ. Thank Him for the victory that He has given you over the power of sin and death. Shame and guilt no longer defines you for it is the Word of God that defines who you really are. You are a child of God and you are declared righteous because of your faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.
