You Are A Child Of God

Romans 8:14-15

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Fear can sometimes creep into our soul and cause anxieties, confusion, depression and unnecessary emotions that hinder our progress in Christ Jesus. When fear motivates you, you know that it does not feel right and the conviction of the Holy Spirit is strong. But sometimes, we can give in to our fears – fear of failure, rejection, persecution, and so on.

This happens to us sometimes because we forget who we are in Christ Jesus; we forget that we have a Heavenly Father who knows exactly what is going inside us. We forget that God is bigger and more powerful than our fears and we forget that we are a child of God!

Romans 8:14-15 reminds us that we can always cry to our Abba Father! He did not call us to become His children and leave us in bondage again to fear. God has already set us free from any kind of fear! You are now His beloved and you are more than a conqueror through Christ. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! This is who you really are! You are powerful and fear has no place in your life.

So as you pray to God for living your identity in Christ Jesus, simply acknowledge the goodness of our heavenly Father whom You can always rely on. You no longer have to control your own life and watch for your own needs for You have a Father who takes care of everything that matters to you. He knows your heart and He loves you! Thank God and bring praises to His name in Christ Jesus.
