KEYS TO A FULL LIFE IN CHRIST
A full life in Christ; the key to a full life in Christ is to understand life itself. You may have heard about the sayings, “life is a game, life is a fight, life is a gift” and so on. What does the bible say about life? It says that life is a gift that came from GOD. In the beginning, when GOD created everything and man, He gave His own breath to us to life. “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Genesis 2:7 KJV)
Blood is life or life is in the blood; and that we are told not to eat blood. The blood of any living creature was considered holding life and therefore GOD asked blood be sacrificed upon the altar. When Jesus came to earth, he did the same thing; he did follow the commandments and gave his own blood and his own life as sacrifice to get us out of sin. Sin is death. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. Therefore I said unto the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood” (Leviticus 17: 11, 12 KJV). “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6: 23 KJV).
If we understood what life is, then we should have understood that we lost our lives and were heading to death, because of our sins. And we should also understand that Jesus gave us life through the sacrifice He made. Now Jesus also taught us by living as an example. We have to follow his steps to find out the keys to a full life in Christ. He was an obedient child, so He listened to what his parents taught him. He wanted to keep the commandments, so He always read and followed the words of GOD. “And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written” (Luke 4:17 KJV). If we are to follow his steps then we too, need to read GOD’s words and follow them.
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3 KJV). Jesus said that we had to be born again in him, and he too did that as he was baptized by John. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). So brothers and sisters in Christ, to follow Jesus and be born again in him and to live like him are the keys to a full life in Christ, let us pray to GOD to guide us through the path of Jesus.
