Don’t Forget that God is a Supernatural God

One night, I had a prophetic dream. I was inside a boat with all the Christians in it. Suddenly a bat came inside to attack me but it failed to do so. Then the next thing I knew, I was talking to a pastor about the schemes of Satan. Then after that I went to be with some Christian friends who were taking pictures. And the boat suddenly turned around very fast and I saw that the storm was so strong and the waves were angry. I knew that the boat was going to sink and I was so afraid. Then I heard the devil said something like he will drown the body of Christ. I woke up and told God that the boat was going to sink. Suddenly, the Holy Spirit reminded me of the verse about Jesus walking on the water and God said, “You will not drown because you can walk on the water.”

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” (John 14:12).

Many times, this can happen to a believer’s life – we forget that we are serving a supernatural God who can do the most impossible things! We forget that Jesus Christ raised a dead person back to life; he walked on the water; he healed the deaf, the blind, the mute, the lame, and he cast out demons powerfully. I realized how important it is for a Christian to always meditate on the supernatural works of God and talk about them more because it empowers our identity as sons and daughters of the Living One, of the Most High. We become fearless of what the devil could do to our lives and in the lives of our loved ones.

Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” (John 14:12). Jesus is empowering all the believers to walk in our identity as He did, as the Son of God! And we are the sons of God!

May we never forget about the Holy Spirit who is inside us especially during the moments of troubles and problems that seem to be overwhelming.  May we not forget that the Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in us (see Romans 8:11). Many times in my dream, God had to remind me of His supernatural ways so that I may not rely on my own strength.

May you also be reminded that the God you believed in, the God in the Bible, the One you are serving has conquered death and is very alive right now to do the most impossible thing in your life! No devil can bring you down and no storm or flood can drown you because you are the child of the Most High! No devil can scare you because the truth is he is the one who is scared of you because of Who is inside you!

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27)
