WHY WALKING IN FAITH IS IMPORTANT?

Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness (Galatians 3:6). God is not someone for us to question about being trustworthy. Now our father of faith, Abraham was considered righteous; does the bible say he was? We know that he was a good man from the bible. But to be considered righteous, just believing in God is enough!

And what does it mean to believe in God? What does the bible say about what faith is?
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1) This verse is as magical as it is. These verses were written approximately 2000 years ago and they say something that the modern science has proved some 2000 years later. Do you get the idea of how much God can guide a man? When we walk in his faith, God always reveals to us the truth; and provides guidance. Science actually guessed that the universe was made out of nothing; and God revealed it to his servants almost 2000 years back. One of God’s men wrote “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear” (Hebrews 11:3). Imagine, if that man decided to just believe in God, he would have been righteous, which he did and he was right for 2000 years! Imagine if that man wanted to question the trustworthiness of God and had experimenting God’s words, he would have been lost in no time!

And that is exactly why walking in faith is important for a Christian. God said if we had even the narrowest of faith, we could move mountains. I’m sure none of us are in need of moving mountains; we just have to live true Christians. Satan has his great strategies; he is more intelligent than Einstein. Remember, he was the morning star once, he was that much honored. Now all that he wants is our failure! So he will tell us that thinking rationally will be okay. God did not tell us thinking rationally will be okay! God told us to listen to exactly what he said, and to walk exactly which path he wanted us to walk; not to take a path because we came to a scientific conclusion that the path was the right one.

Many people today are walking in the wrong path because they think the path is correct. The cause of this curse is just not walking in faith! They don’t walk in faith; they walk in self made conclusions. Remember what happened to Balaam? Numbers 22:28 tells us that the donkey had to argue with him; and then he understood what he did wrong. What did he do wrong? He simply chose his own path to walk in spite which path God showed him. He did not walk in faith. If he had faith, and walked in faith, God wouldn’t have sent his angel with a sword!

Now brothers and sisters, walking in faith is as important as accepting Jesus as our savior. What good is it to accept someone as your boss and then doing whatever you want, and not listening to your boss? God isn’t our boss; he is our heavenly father! Be good children and walk in faith. May God guide us all to walking in faith.
