How To Enter God’s Promised Place Of Rest

Are you seeking something in life, but can’t seem to find it? Are you tired of life, and catching up to the expectations of men that never seem to end?

Romans 3:23 says that everyone has sinned and fallen short of God’s glorious standards. Yet somehow, because of the fallen state of man, the world has always been striving for perfection. The world is always aiming towards certain standards that men must reach – in schools, jobs, careers, even at home and in most relationships. The world is thirsty for love, appreciation, approval, and acceptance. This perfection that the world is seeking is actually the very presence of God, perfect and without blemish in all things, which man first tasted in the Garden of Eden until sin came to separate us from the Father’s presence. Adam and Eve tasted the perfect love of the Father and their souls were not thirsty for anything, until sin separated them from God.

That’s why so many people in the world are striving and looking for perfection without ever being satisfied, because they are looking in the wrong direction—towards riches, fame, achievements, relationships, and “success”. Men have lost their identity and their value is tied to anything that makes them feel accepted, loved, or appreciated. Unfortunately, nothing in this world can ever fill the longings of men.

However, our good God did not abandon us, just as He first promised to Abraham and all His descendants. The Good News is that God has already made a way. He made a way for mankind to be restored back into His presence and to enter into a glorious rest for our body and soul without waiting for our passing into death.

While you are alive, you can still have rest for your soul and be satisfied and content in the presence of God alone.

Jesus Christ said in Matthew 11:28-29, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”

Yes, Jesus Christ is the way for all of us to enter into a place of rest, which is the bosom of the Father, for Jesus is the way to the Father. By having faith and relationship with Jesus, you will begin to once again taste the satisfaction and contentment that the world could not give you. You will be released from the burden of pleasing men and the need for acceptance of others, because in Christ, you will know that the Father already loved you at your worst and paid a high price because of your value to Him through the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ. All you need is to believe in what Jesus Christ has done, surrender your life unto Him, and witness the Holy Spirit giving you rest and peace throughout your life as a believer.
