Finding Security In God’s Love

Many women fall into the trap of insecurity and jealousy because they fail to see the One who truly loves them, cares for them, appreciates them and wants all that is best for them – Heavenly Daddy God.

God said in Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge… (KJV)” 

Lack of knowledge of who God is can destroy your life because God is the fountain of wisdom and without wisdom, you could believe in so many lies about who you are and about this life, which is why knowing God and knowing who you are to Him will deliver you from any unnecessary pains and struggles in life. 

If you have been suffering from insecurity or jealousy because of certain reasons, I would like to encourage you that you are not alone in that battle. Many women are experiencing the same things but God does not want you to suffer from insecurity or jealousy. To be freed from such tormenting spirit, all you need is to know who God is and who you are to God.

When we find security in someone else other than God, the tendency is that we will be brokenhearted because all human beings do not have a perfect love and many are a man’s weaknesses. Nevertheless, God’s love is perfect. When Adam was created, God was his first relationship and everything was good until he listened to Eve who was tempted by the serpent (see Genesis 3) and here is what the curse of a woman became:

“Then He [God] said to the woman: ‘I will sharpen the pain of your pregnancy, and in pain you will give birth. And you will desire to control your husband but he will rule over you (Gen 3:16 NLT).’” 

Then, insecurity and jealousy were born when your boyfriend or husband seems to give attention to another woman. This is the root cause of your pain because of the desire to control him. 

However, Jesus Christ had already paid the great price so that we can be freed from bondages and curses. When Jesus Christ entered your life, you are restored back to the presence of The Father. Jesus Christ has become the second and perfect Adam and we are all Eve ( 1 Cor. 15:24 After that the end will come, when he will turn the Kingdom over to God the Father, having destroyed every ruler and authority and power.).

If you are willing to let go of control over your husband or your boyfriend, and let God handle the situation for you, He will surely not fail you. As you do this, you will find yourself free and overflowing with joy.

“For your husband is your Maker, Whose name is the LORD of hosts; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, Who is called the God of all the earth (Isa 54:5 NASB).”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I come before Your throne of grace and mercy. I surrender everything that I have experienced and will experience with my husband or boyfriend. Everything that I have seen, heard, felt, and thought about him, which were hurtful and negative, I give them to you, Lord Jesus Christ. Give me rest and I no longer want the spirit of jealousy and insecurity to rule over me. I am ready to receive Your perfect love Father. May Your Holy Spirit empower me to fix my eyes on you. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
