Jesus was the word of God in flesh and as He was growing up He studied the scriptures so He knew the word of God, so when the enemy came to tempt Him, He simply pointed his attention to the word of God saying: ” It is written “. That’s what we are to do. We are to first of all have God’s word hidden in our hearts and so established in it that no matter what comes against us we are not shaken. Yes there are times and situations when holding onto a particular word of God or a promise of God by faith can be very easy, but in some other situations the same word or promise needs to take deeper roots. It all comes down to how much the word of God dictates your daily actions, thoughts and life. Curry Blake in this teaching elaborates this in detail.
