FAITH WITHOUT WORKS: SOME EXAMPLES

faith without works is dead

You have to be in the faith of GOD to be his people. But, do you have to do anything about it? Let me explain this a little more. How would it be to have faith without works? What does the bible say about it? Remember, we are Christians and best quotes for us come from the bible and nowhere else! “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also” (James 2: 26 KJV). How hard is that to understand? The faith of you and me will be DEAD, if we do not have the works that support our faith! I didn’t say that, the Bible says so.

There may be many examples in our everyday life. When we teach the Gospel to people, if we know that they are hungry, we should feed them. Jesus did that. Even when the crowd was so huge, and the disciples thought that it was impossible, Jesus wanted to feed the people and He did. “Jesus came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish” (John 21:13 KJV)

When we catch someone stealing a cloth, we can tell them that stealing is a sin. But we should also provide them with some cloths, because that will make them trust us, and through us our GOD will be praised and we will be blessed.

When we pray for the sick in the church and if we don’t care about the elderly neighbor suffering at home, then our faith is dead. We have to care for people first, before praying for them. “Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift” (Matthew 5: 23, 24 KJV). GOD wants us to be good with other people before going to worship Him.

We can show others that we are the children of GOD and we are peacemakers. But if we fight with our family members at home, our faith is dead. So faith without works will not make our heavenly father happy. He will not be fooled, we should not disrespect our GOD by speaking something and doing some other thing.

We could have a millions of examples every day where the Christian faith is dead just because it has no supported works for it to be living.  “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone” (James 2: 17 KJV). “Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works” (James 2:18 KJV).
