You Are Valuable

Verse: Psalm 139:13-16
For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Do you feel that you are worthless or that your life was a mistake? Sometimes, these thoughts can come to us especially when we experience mistreatments, verbal insults, and rejections from people who are close to our hearts. They can come from a family member, a relative or someone you simply look up to. But you should know that your value is not based on who people say you are no matter who they are. Psalm 139:13-16 reminds us that every child in a mother’s womb, God makes him or her fearfully and wonderfully. God knows everything about that child and He has marvelous plans for him or her.

That child is you! Even when you were still in your mother’s womb, God made you fearfully and wonderfully that even before you were born, God already saw you and His plans for your life are great and marvelous. Though we can’t deny the reality we live in a broken and hurting world that inflicts its pain to all people, you don’t have to allow that to your life anymore.

Jesus Christ paid such a great price in exchange for your very life because God knows your value! Your value is worth the blood of His only Begotten Son!
So the next time such thoughts of worthlessness come to your mind, simply pray to the Father and acknowledge the price that His Son Jesus has paid for your sake because He counted you valuable! Thank Him that even before you were born, He already knows you and His plans for your life are great. He is your Heavenly Father who defines your worth by the blood of His Son and He takes care of all your needs. You are that valuable to Him and He loves you so much!
