BIBLICAL WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

God’s instruction book has remained the major source of encouragement for Christian believers worldwide. Millions find the words of encouragement contained in the Bible useful in helping them gain the necessary strength, hope and belief knowing that they are not alone despite of any challenges they face in life. Such words of encouragement are however not only useful during difficulties; millions read the words to get encouragement to proceed on a path or task they have undertaken to follow do respectively.

Biblical encouraging words address several issues relating to humanity. These are God’s protection, comfort, help, love, peace, strength and hope. Christians who take time to read the words gain to understand that God provides almost everything both times of challenges and happiness. Below are just some of the words that encourage Christians in their day to day activities and engagements.

1. Psalm 34: 19 – “Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the LORD delivers him out of them all”.

2. Psalm 91: 7 – “A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you”.

3. Nahum 1: 7 – “The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him”.

4. 2 Corinthians 4: 8-9 – “We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed”.

5. Psalm 23: 4, 6 – “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me….Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD for ever”.

6. Psalm 30: 5 – “For His anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning” (Psalm 30:5).

7. Psalm 147: 3 – “He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds”.

8. Isaiah 40: 1 – “COMFORT, comfort my people, says your God”.

9. Psalm 46: 1 – “GOD is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble”.

10. Mathew 7: 7 – “Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you”.
These are certainly powerful words of encouragement that have for millions of years encouraged Christians across the globe.
