We Always Speak Whats In The Heart
One of the most powerful weapons we have as human beings is our words. (Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.) tells us that our words can bring either life or death. The Word of God itself is so powerful that it became flesh and still manifests through our lives today.
Even though the tongue is the smallest part of the body, it is often the hardest to control (James 3:1–12). Many times, we speak harsh words before we’ve had time to think them through. What is the root cause of this?

Jesus answers in Matthew 15:17–20: “…those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.” It’s not what enters our mouth that defiles us, but what comes out—because it reflects what is in our hearts.
Our hearts are like treasure boxes. When filled with God’s Word and heavenly things, we naturally speak life—words of faith, peace, joy, and righteousness. But when filled with worldly thoughts, our words reflect fear, anger, and doubt.

This is why (Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.) exhorts us to guard our hearts, for everything we do flows from it. We must be diligent in filling our hearts with God’s Word through intentional time in Scripture, prayer, and fasting. When we fill our minds with the things of God, we meditate less on the things of the world.

What is the Holy Spirit revealing to you about your heart? What have you been feeding your mind with lately? Now is the time to intentionally fill your heart with the presence of God.
