He forgives our transgressions.

The Bible tells us in Ephesians 1:7, “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace” Now think about it: Every time we trip up or make a mistake, God isn’t there waiting with a punishment. He’s like a parent who picks us up and dusts us off.

Another verse that pops into mind is Psalm 103:12, which says, “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” That means our mistakes are gone—totally forgotten! Let’s hold on to this truth as we learn how grace plays its part in dealing with sin.

He sees the price paid by Jesus, not our sins.

God deals with our wrongs in the most amazing way. Because Jesus paid the ultimate price, we stand clean in God’s eyes. It’s like when you get a stain on your favorite shirt. Imagine someone else washing it so well that there’s no trace left; that’s what Jesus did for us on the cross. By His atoning death, we’re made right with God.

We’ve all heard how costly some things can be, but nothing compares to what Jesus did for us. He took our sins upon Himself and died so we could have eternal life. The Bible says in Romans 3:25 (NIV), “God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith.” So, think about this: Instead of seeing our mistakes, God sees Jesus’ sacrifice. This is called justification, and it’s totally free! We just need to accept it and live thankfully every day because of it.
