Worried About Your Future? Here’s What The Lord Says

Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off. But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble. And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.” – Psalm 37:37-40

Thinking about the future can sometimes bring worries and anxieties especially when your present situation is not what you wanted. And when your dreams and goals in life seem to be running away from you, you can really get worried with what the LORD has for you in the future. But taking a look at the Scriptures above, it says that those who are honest and good and peace loving has a wonderful future awaiting them while the rebellious on the other hand will not prosper.

“Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

You can see that no matter what happens, the LORD will come to the rescue especially in times of trouble. The LORD also guides the godly and away from the wicked people. He protects them, making sure that they will receive the wonderful future He has planned for them.

The lesson that you can learn from the Scripture is that no matter what is your situation right now, stay honest, good and embrace peace. These traits will surely lead you to a bright future because God’s Word says so.

Sometimes, you can be tempted to do things that are contrary to the Spirit of God when the situation isn’t good or when you are losing your patience towards seeing your dreams manifest. You lose temper easily and resort to retaliation when people intentionally provoke you as well. But submitting to these kinds of act is rebellion before God and it is the devil that does these temptations. James 4:7 says, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Therefore, you have to fill your mind with God’s Word and His promises instead so that when you look towards your future, the God of peace will fill your mind and heart. Don’t focus on your present situation. After all, your current situation does not mean it’s going to be like that forever. Trust in what the LORD can do instead and stay good, honest and peace-loving in all your ways. Never allow the devil to steal your peace by distracting you with your current situation.

The LORD will rescue you, and will protect you from anything that is evil. Trust in the LORD instead and know that He’s got a purpose for your current situation. And stay confident that as you rely on God who is faithful in all things, He will surely lead you to a wonderful future.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your Word of promises. I know that I can trust in Your words because You are faithful in all things. You are the God who does not lie. I ask the Holy Spirit to empower me to fix my eyes on Jesus when my current situation is tough. Increase my faith and perseverance to continue to be good, honest and peace-loving that I may obtain a wonderful future. This I ask in Jesus’ mighty name, amen.
