HOW TO WALK IN THE SPIRIT AND BE STRONG

This has been one of the many questions Christians ask. The question normally comes from evangelicals and Pentecostal who believe that we need the Holy Spirit and therefore there is the need to know how to walk in the spirit. In this article you will be given one key to walking in the Spirit. The key is to understand that when you become born again, you have a glorious new nature which is given to you by Jesus Christ. The new nature is Christ in you, a perfect, righteous and holy nature in the image of God that is incapable of sin:
1 John 3:9 Whosoever is begotten of God doeth no sin, because his seed abideth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is begotten of Go. John 3:3-8 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God! That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. The wind bloweth where it will, and thou hearest the voice thereof, but knowest not whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
The above Bible verses sums up everything we need to know in walking in the Spirit. Our old nature which is our flesh does and desires to sin all the time. We call it the sin nature of man. But the spirit does not sin, neither does the spirit desire to sin. Our new nature is God’s nature – it is God’s seed within you. Since God does not sin nor does He desire to sin – so your new nature does not desire to sin either. I know this is shaking the theology of some Christians. We can go on further to ask what or why do Christians sin? The answer is because of the flesh. The flesh is the mind and until we renew our mind we will continue to sin. The flesh cannot be educated into holiness it has to be fully and totally crucified.
When a person is born-again’ by the living Word of God the person receives eternal life and a new eternal nature was created within you. You don’t create it, it happens the moment you got saved. This new eternal nature is ‘born of God’ and is the true you. Knowing this key is your journey to walking in the Spirit. To summarize the first key to walking in the Spirit is to know that your new nature is born of the Spirit.
