Are Angels Real?

“Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.” (Psalm 91:9-12)

The Bible is clear that angels are real and they exist. They are there to do God’s work and to assist the children of God. According to Psalm 91, God orders His angels to protect you wherever you go. God loves all His children that He orders and assigns angels to protect us. Therefore take courage and don’t be afraid because God has ordered His angels to protect you.

Moreover, during the days of the Old Testament, we see men and women of God encounter Angels of the Lord in the form of man but not an ordinary kind of human being. Take the mother of Samson who saw one of the angels of the LORD and described it:

“Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came unto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible: but I asked him not whence he was, neither told he me his name…’” (Judges 13:6)

And also Zechariah, the husband of Elizabeth, and Mary the mother of Jesus encountered angelic visitation:

“And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.’” (Luke 1:11-13)

“And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.” (Luke 1:26-28)

Angels are real and they exist to do the will of God. You can think of Angels as bodyguards of the King. Wherever the presence of the King of kings is, there His bodyguards will also be. The question probably one may ask today is, do angels still exist as in the days of the Bible? I believe they do! Sometimes, they even appear in our dreams as protector and they are usually in the form of a person whom we never have seen.

One time, I was having a night mare and someone was with me the whole time of my dream. He never left me in my dream and when I woke up, God made me realize it was angel protecting my spirit. Also, some of my angelic encounters were unusual feathers found in unusual places. We went to an overnight youth camp retreat and I placed my backpack on top of my bed. I prayed to God to secure my belonging as we have to leave it inside the dormitories. During the night, I spent my time talking to a friend about God’s faithfulness. And the next day, before leaving as I lift up my bag, I found two small feathers under my bag. I testified it to my friends and we were all amazed and felt the presence of God.

We cannot really put God inside the box of our mind. Sometimes, He can do things that leave us speechless and simply in awe of His wonders. If you desire to experience the crazy things of God just simply ask Him and receive, then you will have it.
