GOD DOES NOT CHANGE. WE CHANGE

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.  James 1:17”

We always hear this said over and over behind the pulpit. God does not change. But the big question is do you really believe God does not change? The truth is God will always be the same!  No one else will.

Lovers call you today and scorn you tomorrow. You may be on good terms with your buddy or friend and the next moment, they become like enemies. They hate you because you did something strange. You begin to have grudges here and there. Friends applaud you when you drive a classic and dismiss you when you drive a dud.

All the above are human tendencies and the way most of us act but God is not like that.  God is always the same.  James 1:17 says, “With God, there is no variation or shadow due to change.”

This verse in James is really powerful. It tells us that if God is A, He will continue to be A. He will not change to be B. There is no variation. If there is no variation then it means God is constant or consistent.

Can your fear exhaust his grace?  Did God not make a promise to you?  What He says He will do, he does.  His promises are true and all you’ve got to do is to believe and continue believing no matter what is happening.

God’s love towards us under the new covenant does not change.  He is the same yesterday and today and forever!

Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe you have received it, and it will be yours!” 

Let God be enough!
