HOW TO STAY POSITIVE IN A NEGATIVE WORLD

Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet. To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticise others. To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear; and too happy to permit the presence of trouble. To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud wordsbut in great deeds. To live in the faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you.

When we come to define body, mind and soul, we must reverse the usual definition. We normally say and use this expression “I have a soul”. This statement implies and gives the belief that “I am a body” and so deeply has this idea become fixed in the average mind that nearly everybodythinks of the body whenever the term “me” or “myself “ is employed.

But in this attitude of mind the individual is not above the physical states of thought and feeling; in fact, he is more or less submerged in what may be called a bundle of physical facts and ideas, of which he has very little control. You cannot control anything in your life, however, until you are above it. You cannot control what is in your body until you realize that you are above your body. You cannot control what is in your mind until you realize that you are above your mind, and therefore no one can use the forces within them to any extent so long as they think of themselves as being the body, or as being localised exclusively in the body.

To overcome we have to compare every situation to God. Is God bigger or smaller than the problem. Of course the answer for a Christian would be, God is bigger than the problem. We say that often but we do not see it in real life. People walk about being depressed, sad and stressed. All this compared to God is smaller. If we start to compare our situations with the Word of God we will begin to see a change in our lives. Our life will always move in the area we think about most. Let us meditate and think on the word and things will change.

Have a happy day
