BIBLE VERSES ON UNDERSTANDING

Here are some key verses on understanding we ought to have. Our biggest enemy is the self and as we keep growing in Christ we ought keep seeking for understanding, because lack of understanding will destroy our lives and let us lives according to the full purposes of God. Did you ever think that God has plans, purposes and desires for your life? Why do you want to deprive your Father by not aligning according to the value He made you with ? Seek to understand my brother and sister in Christ. Gain understanding! A person is called blessed when he seeks after understanding. Such a man will walk in great insight, peace, protection, no anger, wont even walk according to the old man, he will always turn away from evil. When we have understanding we will understand all that Father has freely given to us and as we walk out our life living in the Spirit we will see all that. Colossians even goes onto say that to be able to have a walk worthy of the Lord fully pleasing Him, to bear good fruit and to grow in the knowledge of Him, we must be filled with the wisdom of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. It is our boast that we understand and know God because when we do we get transformed to the real us created in His image. We must be careful that we do not carry hardened hearts because that will alienate us from God. God always seeks for a man who seeks understanding. Are you that man or woman?

Proverbs 18:2
A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.

Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly.

Proverbs 2:2-5
Making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.
